The Shuttleworth Foundation is privately funded by Mark Shuttleworth. All accounts and financial information is reported annually and can be found in the Financials section of the website.

We fund individuals, as part of a Fellowship programme. The programme does not have strictly defined areas of funding as we have found this restrictive as people do not always fit into boxes.

Previous successful applications have come from individuals working in the following areas:

• Open and Collaborative Educational Resources
• Open Philanthropy
• Open Science

We also partner with other organisations to support specific fellowships.
