Staff and partners needed for Livity’s Olympic Legacy project

by Callum. Average Reading Time: about 2 minutes.

Since last year, Livity and Channel 4 have been delivering somewhereto_, a key project of the Cultural Olympiad. somewhereto_ is all about enabling and empowering 16 to 25 year-olds across the UK to find spaces to do the things they love, by working with them to secure access to spaces they need but don’t have – whatever their thing and wherever they want to do it.

We are looking for a Web Editor and a Regional Team Manager to join the project team here in Brixton, as well as organisations across the UK to deliver somewhereto_ in their region. All roles are initially on a 12 month contract.

Editor, somewhereto.com

Livity is looking for an exceptional, technically savvy and creative Web Editor to take the helm of somewhereto_’s unique and powerful digital platform, with the aim of making it the ‘go-to’ place for young people looking for spaces and inspiration. You will be a strong believer in the power of content, and skilled in creating, editing, publishing and promoting it to maximum effect – grabbing attention and engaging both young people and space-holders.
The site is currently in beta and will look radically different once the new brand and look and feel is implemented in the next few weeks.

Regional Team Manager

We are looking for an inspiring Regional Team Manager to grow and oversee a team of Regional Co-ordinators, who are delivering somewhereto on the ground in their regions. You will need to be an outstanding manager of people, and have communication skills to match – allowing you to maintain a happy and motivated workforce all over the UK (regular travel will be required). You will also need to be fastidiously organised, and totally comfortable with budgets and reporting. Experience or a proven interest in the youth, arts, cultural or sports sectors would be a bonus.

Regional Partner Organisations

We are inviting relevant, inspiring, reliable organisations to submit expressions of interest to manage regional activity for somewhereto_, brokering space between young people and space-holders, and providing on-the-ground support for this pioneering, high-profile Olympic Legacy project.

Organisations should have extensive regional knowledge and contacts, and a proven track record of quality delivery with 16 to 25 year-olds. Ideally you will have established links with both local business and local government, as well as knowledge of urban development and opening up space. We’re looking for natural inspirers and mobilisers, with the initiative and vision to get things
done.
