Notes: 230 principals were at the conference, representing a diverse range of schools, from the very under-resourced to the very privileged. The presentation urged them to rethink banning cellphones at school and to consider their value for learning, assessment and administration. While MXit, the mobile instant messaging sevice, is much hated, only 4 of the 230 principals have actually used it.
