Description of project:

The subject ?technology? was recently introduced in schools by the national Department of Education, but teachers were not trained in the teaching of it. A need exists to train the teachers.

The Shuttleworth Foundation?s involvement:

The Shuttleworth Foundation is funding the training of 50 teachers in 20 schools through the printing of materials and supplying field workers for the training.

Aims and objectives:

This project aims to train 50 technology teachers in 20 schools in Mpumulanga.

Status:

The project is in its early stages.
