Please note: We are inundated with requests for funding. Therefore we request that all proposals come via the channels listed below. We strongly discourage the sending of proposals directly to staff members. Please help us make this process easier for you.

You should be aware of the following if you are considering submitting a proposal:

• The Shuttleworth Foundation begins the year with a predetermined list of projects we would like to implement. These projects are decided during a strategy session held towards the end of every year.
• Almost all of our funding budget is allocated towards this list of projects. Should you be wishing to send us a, it is therefore in your best interest to ensure that your proposal falls within our chosen strategy for the year.
• We'd love you to participate in our projects. While it is true that most of our projects are initiated and managed internally, this is often because we struggle to find suitable people to outsource the implementation of our project to – if you believe you're one of those people, please contact us.
