The Shuttleworth Foundation has a dedicated group of trustees that support the principles of openness, integrity and accountability, under the leadership of founder Mark Shuttleworth.

The trustees delegate authority to the Shuttleworth Foundation's management team that is enabled to act for, and on behalf of the trusts in every respect, with the exception of the following functions retained by the trustees whereby their approval is required for:

  • Overall policy and strategy concerning the objectives of the trusts.
  • Audited annual financial statements.
  • Funded projects in excess of the limit imposed on the management team.

The Shuttleworth Foundation's trustees meet on a quarterly basis to review the progress of the trusts' activities.

The most recent submission from the trustees is the audited annual financial statements of the aggregated Shuttleworth Foundation trusts for the year ended 28 February 2007.
